Dance a Jig!

Okay, I wanted to post something about New Year's Eve. I guess I'll do that this evening. I just got word that The Kid got a scholarship offer from one of the Universities (sp?) he's interested in attending. It is enough money that combined together would pay for his entire senior year. This is a private school, so that is some SERIOUS CASH!!!

Yippeeeee!!! One day we can retire!!!!!!!

Well, first stop by your blog and I get to read this good news. Hooray, that's awesome! My youngest brother is up for scholarships too and my father and stepmother are breathing a collective sigh of relief, as my older brother's university education is wearing their wallets thin. Good for him!

That's excellent news! My private college bill came out to about 80k, and although it was a good school I already know I won't recommend my kids go the same route (unless they can get some hefty scholarships like your Gallant!!).
Congrats to you all!

Mama_Tulip, thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm loving that collective sigh! Mignon, his mom didn't "encourage" this school, but I bet now she'll do the full court press!

Yay! The kid is not only a sweetheart and well mannered, but also smart. He's a keeper for sure!

Congrats, of course! I'm wondering about MY oldest. Should we be filling out paperwork for scholarships? Where? When? How?
